Making education available to rural India is the single point agenda that ensured the setting up of the Bharatiya Academy, a school set up to provide education to children in rural areas. The Bharatiya Academy ensures that
No child is refused admission if he is unable to meet the cost.
No child is denied admission on caste, creed or colour.
All children are kept in touch with nature in rural India, based on the premise mooted by Gandhiji, that each and every child in India must be provided basic education or Education by Craft.
Contributions are required for providing free education to those children below the poverty line (defined as a family who's daily income is below $ 1/- per day). These funds will be utilized for
Construction of permanent buildings for the Bharatiya Academy.
Towards scholarships for children who would otherwise not have any access to education.
The estimated cost of supporting a child is Rs 10, 000 ($250/-) per year.
